America's campaign to change Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart has a responsibility to all Americans to set the standards for customers, workers and communities, and to help build a better America. The truth is that Wal-Mart has let down America by lowering wages, forcing good paying jobs overseas, and cutting costs with total disregard for the values that have made this nation great.
Wal*Mart Watch is a campaign to make Wal-Mart a better employer, neighbor, and corporate citizen.

Battle*Mart WARN, a coalition of individuals, community organizations, labor unions, neighborhood associations, immigrant alliances, civil rights groups, women’s organizations, environmental groups, and consumer groups, provides the voice for citizens to force Wal-Mart to be accountable to community standards and values. In conjunction with the Wal-Mart Workers Association (WWA), WARN is building a national organization that has the power to affect change in the business practices of Wal-Mart and its affiliated businesses. The “big box” phenomena and the common elements that drive the business model behind it have become ubiquitous. Eventually one has to add up the pieces and realize that what is happening down the street from you is in fact happening throughout the country. There have been some great initiatives that have been organized to respond to these big box intrusions, but more often that not, we are all playing “catch up” to corporate initiatives of some of the country’s largest combines and we are ill prepared to contend and win with a better plan and visition.
The Wal-Mart Workers Association is an organization of current and past Wal-Mart workers united to improve the working conditions and living standards of Wal-Mart workers. Wal-Mart workers control the organization, deciding what issues are important to them and what actions should be taken. The organization is a workers’ association, not a union. We are not affiliate of any other union even though we welcome the support of any and all unions who would offer such help, along with any other organizations willing to stand with us. We create a workers support network encouraging workers, activists, organizations and the community to engage in a pro-worker movement. We focus our resources in helping associates work through both Wal-Mart bureaucratic maze, and the complex state and federal system so workers rights can be enforced and their claims will be heard.
